Jasper Conran continues to close the gap between formal dining and casual living. He accents the contemporary beauty of his already popular white bone china range with a touch of formality in the forum of a thin platinum band. To create an interplay of proportions, accent pieces including a plate, a charger, a small pitcher, mug, teacup and saucer, use thick platinum stripes to reinforce the pattern’s look of sophisticated elegance.

example, the dry iron, Bri-nylon sheets, roller towels, china-tea set complete with cream jug and sugar bowl or even the bone handled knives? Oh the memories….., suggest some more please…….
Darren….teasmade… i havent heard of them in years, what a cracker….

Yes, the said bone handled butter knives, although still in presentation box, unused.
Tower pressure cooker, used twice weekly for 23 years!
3 stacking box biscuit/cake tins, red plastic. used daily.

I have questions regarding a service for 12 of royal doulton china named "the Rochester" (This set is NOT V31) This set belongs to an 80 year old woman who got it from her grandmother. I am interested to find out the approximate age and estimeted value of this set so that it can either be placed up for sale or possibly insured.

For insurance purposes, go to www.replacements.com to find their going price.
However if you wish to sell it, you will (most likely) get no where near their asking price. Overall, china prices are down right now. Few entertain like they used to (not a high demand), and shipping is high now..anyway, prices are just low. good luck.

i would like to know if the designer/modeller Graham tongue is still alive and if so how old! he was design manager for beswick and royal doulton. I’m a big fan and cant find any information on him.

Hi! I’ve looked through a lot of sites and
can only find tidbits as well. Why don’t
you contact the firm and ask them? I’m
sure they’ll be happy to hear from a devotee
and will most certainly respond to your inquiry:)

The Royal Doulton group acquired the Beswick
factory in 1969 and when the modeller Albert
Hallam retired in 1975, Graham Tongue became
the head modeller at the Beswick studio and

added many new characters to the range in the
1980’s.

(Graham Tongue) the former head modeller of

There was a big change in 1985, when all the HN
and K series of animals were discontinued. New
design manager Graham Tongue and a whole new
set of modellers were now working at the John
Beswick studios
