This is not ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The figure is named Janet and marked on the bottom is H.N. 1537 Copr. 1932 Doulton & Co. Limited. It also has 80 stamped in green in another area on the bottom. The signature looks like Mubwell Darllin, but I know that can’t be it. Any ideas???

Most likely Michael Doulton. I assume it is in gold? He signs a lot of pieces at worldwide shows and factory tours.

Compare with signature on the item link.

I have discovered it was made between 1922 and 1956. I have the complete set, coffee pot, cream jug, sugar basin and six cups and saucers. Very good condition apart from slight crazing inside some of the cups.

Hyacinth Bucket would fork over a small fortune for your royal doulton but only if it were adorned with myriad periwinkles.

the bowl has no date and was bought when first in development so it is an original piece before they started to date the bowls

Your best bet would be to have a look on eBay – just search for the specific product under ‘completed listings’ and this will show you what price this item has sold for in the past.

The Cinderella face is reversible, it changes from scullery waif to glamorous princess..
Here is a quote from an 2009 article that mentions this doll:

"I bought her in 1986 for £125," explained Chris. "But others, such as the early porcelain dolls you see here made by royal doulton (known as Tower Treasures) are irreplaceable.

"You would have to pay £200 to £300 for dolls like that today."

I checked other sites but I mainly see the cheaper Peggy Nisbet items such as:

If they don’t, try
www.tablewhere.co.uk
Or there is a shop in Worcester called Pratley’s

Are you positive that it is a "NN"? Could it be "HN"?
The "HN" system of numbering figurines was devised by Harry Nixon and still in use today.

I managed to get a limited edition wind in the willows figure, hand signed by Michael Doulton and looking to sell it in aid of charity, does anyone know its value?

The few royal doulton Wind in the Willows serieswear that shows up online in a Google search does not give one much to go on. They are not immediately valuable. Retail values are of course usually a lot higher than any auction price.

The Michael Doulton signature may count for something, but he is the current fifth-generation ancestor of the founders, so in antique terms it is practically yesterday or brand new. An antique of the future certainly. Educated guess – somewhere between £40 and £60. You might touch £100 if it is for charity. After all, when it comes to antiques and collectibles something is only worth what a person is prepared to pay for it. The market will decide it’s true value. Don’t take less than £30 though!

There are books on royal doulton that will price it for you. Look in antiques books.
