How do I sell Royal Doulton?
15 Dec 2009
I have an entire set of discontinued royal doulton dinnerware, including the service set. I would like to know if anyone can help me figure out how to sell them. I am pretty clueless as to how to get their max value.
Have you tried E-Bay? You can put a reserve amount on the bidding and if you don’t get a high enough bid, then you just try again another time. That way you know you’ll get a certain amount for them.
You may also think about having them appraised so you know what they are truly worth. If they are worth a good bit then you could pursue auctioning them off at an antiques auction.
Good Luck!

2009 Dec 15 2if you live in a city of any size, you can always find consignment shops…..I bought a 12 place setting of sterling with serving pieces for only 3200.00……that would be your best best unless you wanted to advertise, but then you get strangers in your house and I wouldn’t do that…..

2009 Dec 15 3If it has painted periwinkles, then buy advertising time on the BBC when "Keeping up Appearances" is on. Hyacinth devotees will snap them up.
