i would like to sell my figurines they are in mint condition ,and i would like to know what is the best way to sell them ,and what are they worth today
thank you
I’m not convinced there is a single ‘best way’ to sell them. There are plenty of online places you can list them for sale, including ebay.com, bonanzle.com, ecrater.com and craigslist.com. There is also a dedicated message board at: http://www.worldcollectorsnet.com/doulton/doultonboard.html.
Local auction houses, as suggested in the prior answer, is another way, as well as local advertising in newspapers.
I would expect you could get approx $100 each for your 2 figurines, but if you are prepared to list them for more and wait longer, you could get anything up to or even greater than their insurance valuations, which are approximately $200-$250 each.

2010 Jul 05 1a great place to go is a local auction, they will normally give you a free valuation, and then will advise you as to enter it in there auction, kinda like ebay but in real life, its great fun and you get to have a day out, and there may even be something there you want to buy! Just enter into google the name of the place you live and auctions after it, or look in your local phone book, i have attached a link that tells you about selling at auctions they do charge for you selling and normally its just a small percent, there are no up front fee’s and collectors normally go to these places so if 2 want it then it could go for more than its even worth!
